Circle Robot

Panel one shows an Amazon dot with a notification. The next panel is Magenta saying, "Oh a package must be here." The third panel shows Magenta at her front door saying, "That's weird. Circle robot, what are my notifications?" The fourth panel shows the Dot and says, "One new notifications. You recently bought a wicker chair from All-Night Wicker Furniture. How would you rate it?" Panel five shows Magenta saying, "No, circle robot! I need my wicker lamp delivery!"

When we get a notification, it’s very exciting. We anxiously head to the door trying to remember just exactly what we bought. It’s disappointing when the notifications aren’t for packages but rather for a reminder to rate past deliveries.

Much Ado

Jazz, Bug, and Magenta are outside and Jazz says to Bug, "So, really it's much ado about nothing." To which Magenta says, "Isn't that Twitter's new tag line?"

Do you remember the ‘Seinfeld’ show? It was basically a show about nothing that ran for many years. It could have been renewed for many more but Jerry Seinfeld wanted to end it on a high note and not drag out the show longer than it was funny. There really wasn’t much of a plot – pretty much how Magenta Sketches is. It was just filled with every day seemingly random occurrences.

I’m not sure why I even spend time on Twitter. It’s so toxic and so much of it is just about nothing of substance. But there are some good conversations, too. Take the good with the bad I guess. It’s just a fact of life. Sorry about that. Referencing yet another older television show.

Weightloss

First panel shows Magenta weighing herself and says, "Woot! Down one pound this week!" The next panel shows Jazz weighing himself and says, "Nice! Down six pounds this week!" The next panel shows Magenta and Jazz and Magenta says, "Do you have to weigh on the same day that I do? Show off!"

Dieting with your husband has its pros and cons. It’s great when we are on the same page because we eat better and exercise more. It’s frustrating because he loses at a phenomenal rate. I realize that he has way more weight to lose than me but in the moment of truth – weighing in – it’s hard not to get salty.

Halloween Decorations

First panel shows Magenta with a box and Jazz says, "What are you doing?" The next panel shows Magenta saying, "I'm putting up Halloween decorations." Third panel shows Jazz saying, "Isn't it too early? It's not even October yet!" The fourth panel shows Magenta walking away from Jazz saying, "Nonsense! It's never too early."

Halloween is our favorite holiday. It’s the first holiday in fall and the weather is usually just wonderful. Those cooler temperatures are so welcomed after a long, hot summer. Why not get ready for it as soon as you want to?

Our neighborhood goes crazy with Halloween decorations. It’s September and some folks already have their yard decked out. We hope to do some decorating as well. I found the Halloween decorations so I guess it’s time to start.

Giving Effort

The first panel shows Bug in an online class when the instructor says, "In this class, I expect 100% effort every day." The next panel shows Bug saying, "Yeah. That's not going to work for me."

Bug just doesn’t see the point of giving her all to school. She is a good student but could be a great student. She just doesn’t want to put the effort into it.

Only four more years and school will be a distant memory.
